After the computer booted up completely and the hard disk activity LED stopped blinking, I re-started the Adobe Updater, and ran the update job again. That seemed to fix it. Well, “fix” may be a relative word here. It still took another 20 minutes to go through the update, and in the end, I got an error message telling me GoLive couldn’t be fully patched up… Pathetic, but at least I got through the dull thing. This isn’t the first time I had problems with the Adobe Updater. I don’t know about you, but I’m getting fed up with the constant problems. At the price we’re paying for this software, I expect better, more stable code. Instead, the software only gets more bloated with every release, and harder to install. Do you know how long it takes to install CS2, and I’m not even counting the time it takes to update it? Half an hour! That’s ridiculous. This isn’t an operating system. It needs to be smaller and more reliable, or else I may just give other software a try.
