I stood on the remains of the walls of one of the houses while I took this photo. Ancient ships likely traveled the waters of Lake Sinoe, and turned the left corner to reach the port of Histria. â¨â¨Photo taken among the ruins of Histria, the oldest documented city on Romanian territory. Histria is located on the shore of Lake Sinoe, a salt-water lake with a direct link to the Black Sea, near Constanta, in the region of Dobrogea.
