APS film, winter of 1998. An orchard (don’t ask me what kind) lays before me. A flat field extends in the background, and a few houses are barely visible, but one gets the feeling we’re not in the low-lying fields, but on a plateau somewhere. You’d be right to think that. I believe I took this photo somewhere in Maramures, after I’d climbed up a twisty road for a considerable amount of time.
