I purchased this PEN E-P3 just a few days ago, to add it to my collection of Olympus PEN cameras. As I mentioned in my previous post, I now have all the PEN models except the PEN-F. I love PEN cameras because they are the smallest full-featured cameras out there. Yes, there are smaller cameras, [...]
Several days ago, I purchased a PEN E-P1. I've been thinking about a number of years of collecting all the digital PEN cameras that Olympus has made. I'm not referring to the PL (Pen Lite) or PM (Pen Mini) camera lines, which were launched alongside the regular PEN cameras in an effort to provide lower-cost [...]
The Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, previously known as Villa Vizcaya, is the former villa and estate of businessman James Deering, of the Deering McCormick-International Harvester fortune. It's located on Biscayne Bay, in the present day Coconut Grove neighborhood of Miami, Florida. Deering used Vizcaya as his winter residence from 1916 until his death in 1925. The [...]
When I published my original post about our visit to these wonderful gardens in Delray Beach which are dedicated to the hard work of the Japanese farmers in the area, I only included 16 photographs and 1 video clip. I'm not sure why -- perhaps because I focused on editing the clip and thought 16 [...]
Spring has arrived and that means it's time for my annual gallery of photographs from our garden. This is the sixth edition mind you, so it has become somewhat of a tradition for me. I hope you have a cup of tea or coffee ready -- if you don't, go get one -- because there [...]
I was going through old(er) photos of mine taken in 2009, and I put together a lovely collection of summertime photos from our garden (even if I do say so myself). Look, I know it's not summer now. It's winter (sort of). Each season has its purpose and is beautiful in its own way. Should [...]
We were greeted by more frost this morning, so of course I hopped outside to take photos. This winter... it's been such a non-winter that any cold weather gets me chipper. I took photos until I couldn't feel my fingers and I loved every minute of it. I love that crisp, fresh, winter morning air! [...]
Hoar frost is a strange term, isn't it? It comes from Middle English, circa 1300, is actually spelled "hoarfrost" over in England, and it means exactly what you'll see in the photos I took this morning in our garden. Enjoy!
Now that winter is almost here, I thought I'd show you a few photographs from the autumn we've had this year. A few of them are from our courtyard, most are from our garden. Enjoy!
As promised, here are more photos of the spring blossoms in our garden.
