In this episode, Ligia makes raw granola out of the leftover pulp from almond milk and a few seeds, nuts and fruits. It’s delicious and healthier than any granola bars you’ll find in stores.
It has been a while since we published an episode of Ligia’s Kitchen! I’m so glad we had a chance to film one this past weekend, even though we had to cut it short because Sophie needed Ligia’s attention. That by the way, is the reason we haven’t been filming new episodes. The little sweetheart needs us and we can’t dedicate a few hours to the filming of an episode.
In this new episode, you’ll learn how to make delicious, healthy, probiotic raw pickles without vinegar or preservatives. You’ll be seeing how pickled cucumbers and pickled green tomatoes get made. All of the ingredients that go into these pickles are fresh and organic and the pickling process itself involves no heat or vinegar whatsoever. The recipe is posted in the video.
Ligia’s co-host in this video is Izabela Panescu, the creator and host of a show called “Tinerete Fara Batranete” on Digi24, a Romanian TV station.

The word “chia” probably conjures images of the “Chia Pet” in your minds, if you grew up during the 80s and 90s. Besides being a fun toy, chia seeds are incredibly nutritious and as it turns out, delicious!

We just published episode 32 of our show, Ligia’s Kitchen, featuring a delicious entree made from lentils and scallions, seasoned with dill, lemon and salt. Ever since Ligia created the recipe a couple of months ago, she’s made it for us at least once a week, and it’s still great, every time I taste it. It’s a wonderful summer recipe.
Strawberries are ripe and ready to be picked in our garden! This means, among other delicious things, that we’ve made a wonderful recipe for you, a raw twist on the traditional Strawberries and Cream dessert.
The cream is made from cashews, honey, lemon juice and water, and you pour it over freshly picked and sliced strawberries.
After about three months on hiatus, during which we re-purposed one of the rooms in our house as a studio for the show and renovated it from top to bottom, we’re back with a new episode of Ligia’s Kitchen!
It’s a recipe for Kombucha Tea, a delicious probiotic beverage that will replenish your body with a much-needed enzyme and vitamin soup. You can grow Kombucha in your pantry (it needs a dark, not-too-cold place to grow) and if you’re good to it, you can have a Kombucha colony, so you’ll always have fresh Kombucha on hand should you want it (and you will want it).
